"Easy listening that is genuinely inspirational"
"I can't get enough of these podcasts! Easy listening that is genuinely inspirational. I came across these podcasts, stuck episode one on in the background and now I listen as soon as each new episode comes out. I can't wait to see what they do in the future!"
Sometimes I feel that we all get bogged down with all the terrible things that happen in the world. When you turn on the news you are hit with instant updates of a bombing here, a murder there or a dictator who has done something despicable. This is slightly controversial but I don’t even listen to the news anymore. Not because I want to be viewed as an ignorant plonker who has no opinion on current affairs but because it actually started to have an impact on my conscious state of mind.
Being constantly reminded of appalling behaviour from fellow humans will naturally train your mind to be overwhelmingly cautious and fearful. Yes, I do agree it is important to not be naïve about what people have the capability of doing. However I think after years and years of exposure to all this information gathered on a daily basis we can become fearful, bitter and passive. Sometimes we actually need to focus on the fact that the majority of people are good natured, kind and full of love. Yesterday was a reminder of how fucking great the human race can be.
I like to take a second every now and then to look back and be grateful for where I am. This morning I pulled into Farringdon Station on route to a gym class. I stared at the platform on the other side of the track and remembered a day some 36 months ago.
For the first time in longer than I can remember I have been under the weather. Last week for 6 days I was lying in bed completely unable to do anything. Unable to think straight, unable to concentrate and worse of all, not be able to be active. Apart from watching all 8 series of Entourage it was by a distance the worst week I have had in the past 18 months.....
I adore working on my podcast. If just one person comes away from an episode of mine feeling inspired then my work is done. From a personal standpoint it has taught me so much. First and foremost it has helped me develop my ability to build relationships. Upon reflection everything that has happened to me over the past 12 months has come off the back off The Inspiration Space. Proving the power of building relationships.
Just a couple of products / apps that I find extremely useful. Each one compliments my lifestyle and helps me run at full capacity… or as close to it as possible. Take a look as some of them may help you.
As I look back on 2017 I can say one thing with certainty. I finally got my shit together.
All over Instagram you will hear that everybody has the solution and all the answers. That is not something I will ever say on this page because that would be the furthest thing from the truth. I am certainly not the most skilled, most intelligent or most visionary. What I have done this year however is take some fucking action.
On this planet of 7.6 billion people, I am probably the easiest person to engage in conversation. To get from A to B can sometimes be a struggle. It is even worse when I am in an environment that interests me. A few days ago there was a prime example....
This is a blog post I wrote the day after I got back from running the Wadi Rum Ultra... The Trailblazers Club maiden challenge finished on the 15th of October. The team ran for YoungMinds UK and raised a total of £16,380. I was going to re-write it but I think I'll leave it as is.... enjoy!
Unhappiness and mental fatigue is something that it is all too common today. We all know somebody, whether it be ourselves or somebody close to us, who has a degree of anxiety or depression.
Personal growth…. This is something that blows my mind when speaking to individuals. As an individual I am drawn to people who are eager to improve themselves in an area of their lives. I find it fascinating to see what drives people.
