It took me a long long LONG time to realise this but after 24 years it was apparent that the best thing for my mental state was to factor in a non negotiable period of alone time into my life. It is normally frowned upon or greeted with concern by others, which I now find funny, as being alone normally is an indication of being lonely and depressed. Yes if you are constantly spending time by yourself it can indeed be an indication of depression, however In our busy lives in a society that never stops the presence of factoring in alone time or at least downtime is essential for our psychological well being.
